Peabody Firefighters Battle Overnight Blaze On Sanborn Street

The triple-decker fire reached three alarms in the early morning hours of Friday.

PEABODY, MA — Peabody fire crews spent the early morning hours of Friday battling a stubborn apartment blaze in a triple-decker on Sanborn Street.

The fire reached three alarms before it was contained shortly after dawn. At one point, crews were ordered out of the building as the top floor became unstable.

The ceiling collapsed and a chimney came down, according to WFXT-TV.
