Peabody Free Curbside Yard Waste Pickup To Begin Next Week

PEABODY, MA — Peabody residents looking to do a bit of landscaping to mark the start of spring will get some cleanup help from the city starting next week.

The first of four free curbside yard waste collection weeks begins on April 3 with additional collection weeks scheduled for April 24, May 1 and May 15.

"Following another long New England winter, my office has received many calls from residents looking for help in getting rid of dead leaves and brush," Bettencourt said. "In response, I have scheduled a series of free curbside yard waste collection days."

The collection will take place on the regularly scheduled trash pickup day.

Waste can be put curbside in paper bags or barrels. No plastic bags will be accepted. Residents should note that haulers may pick up regular trash first and return later in the day for yard waste.
