Peabody To Host Sept. 11, 2001 Memorial Observance Sunday

Peabody police and fire will hold ceremonies on Sunday morning with a moment of silence set for that afternoon.

PEABODY, MA — The Peabody police and fire departments will hold separate Sept. 11, 2001 memorial observances on Sunday morning.

The ceremonies will be part of the city's observance of the 21st anniversary of the terrorist attacks on America.

The Peabody Police Department ceremony will be at 8:45 a.m. at the Grandview Avenue flagpole.

The Peabody Fire Department ceremony will be at 9 a.m. at the Public Safety Memorial on Perkins Street.
