Peabody Institute Library Fall 2023 Concert Series Begins In October
There are eight free shows beginning on Oct. 2 and running on Mondays through Dec. 18.

PEABODY, MA — The Peabody Institute Library will begin its free fall concert series on Oct. 2 and run through Dec. 18.
While concerts are free, registration is required and opens one month before the show. All concerts are on Monday nights at 7.

Somerville singer-songwriter Karen Grenier will play on Oct. 2. Grenier continues to make her mark as both a gifted songwriter and crafty lyricist. Her concert will feature her original work along with a few favorite songs that have inspired her along her path. Her music and other information can be found here.
PIL favorite Áine Minogue returns on Oct. 16, featuring seasonally fitting harp compositions as well as old Celtic favorites. Minogue has been a staple of the Irish and Celtic music scene for many
years completing sixteen solo albums to date. She is featured on numerous compilations, many of which spent months on the Billboard 100 music charts (World, Folk, New Age, Classical). Minogue is also a frequent contributor to TV soundtracks. Her music and other information can be found

Welcome Folk duo Hungrytown returns to the concert series on Nov. 6. The duo are Rebecca Hall and Ken Anderson, and they have been touring for more than 15 years. Their music is inspired by the melodic storytelling of the 1960s folk revival, performed with a contemporary perspective. More information about Hungrytown can be found here.
Peabody native and recording artist Stephanie James brings her voice to the PIL on Nov. 13. James is a gifted storyteller who released her debut album "Unbreakable" in collaboration with Grammy-nominated producers Jorel Corpus and Simone Torres.
"Dancing Joy" with Dance Caliente on Nov. 20 is an interactive ballroom dance show with dancing duo Eileen Herman-Haase and Raul Nieves. In between each dance, Herman-Haase and Nieves
will share some commentary on the dances, and invite the audience to learn

The Boston Typewriter Orchestra engages in rhythmic typewriter manipulation combined with elements of performance, comedy and satire on Dec. 11. More on the Boston Typewriter Orchestra can be found here.
Minogue returns on Dec. 18 to close out the fall season with some winter and holiday-themed songs.
