Peabody Man Cashes In On $1.56 Million Danvers Lottery Ticket
Ronald Kocur said he bought the ticket at 5:30 a.m. while getting his morning coffee and gas.
PEABODY, MA — A Peabody man who picked up an instant scratch ticket at 5:30 in the morning while getting gas and coffee wound up making it a $1.56 million stop in Danvers as a winner in the Massachusetts State Lottery's "Decade of Dollars" $10 instant ticket game.
Ronald Kocur won $20,000 a month for 10 years on the ticket and opted to take his winnings in a one-time payment.
He told the Mass Lottery that he intends to buy a car and pay for his child's college tuition with his winnings.

Kocur bought the ticket at the Gulf Express at 160 Andover Street in Danvers.
That store receives $24,000 in a bonus for its sale of the winning ticket.
