Peabody Pair Charged In Fentanyl, Crystal Meth Drug Trafficking Bust
Peabody police said two people were charged after seizing crystal methamphetamine, fentanyl, mushrooms and counterfeit cash.
PEABODY, MA — Peabody police charged a man and woman with drug trafficking and possession after seizing fentanyl, crystal methamphetamine and counterfeit cash in a bust on Newbury Street Friday.
Police said Carl Decotis, 41, and Danielle Steenbruggen, 26, were charged after they said a two-month investigation led to the second drug bust at the address in recent months. They were scheduled to appear in Peabody District Court to face the charges Monday morning.
"The Peabody Police Department is committed to interrupting the flow of illegal narcotics in this area," Peabody police said. "We will work with every local, state and federal agency to do our best to disrupt this activity."

Police said the pair was charged with trafficking fentanyl, trafficking crystal methamphetamine, 12 counts of possession of a Class E substance, nine counts of possession of a Class C substance, and two counts of possession of counterfeit cash.
"I would like to commend all the investigators in this case," Peabody Police Chief Thomas Griffin said. "Their diligent work has taken a dangerous narcotics dealer off the streets of Peabody."
