Peabody Police Arrest One After Threats At Route One Motel

The occupants of a room at the Plaza Inn called the front desk to say they were going to kill each other.

PEABODY, MA -- Peabody Police arrested an East Boston woman on outstanding warrants after responding to a call about threats at the Plaza Inn Motel on Route One at 9:59 pm on Friday. Police arrested Therese Sloan-Dean, 55, on warrants for shoplifting, motor vehicle violations and failing to appear to provide a DNA sample.

Police responded to the motel after receiving a call from the front desk clerk, according to the Peabody Police log. The clerk told police the people staying in Room 33 had called the front desk. They told the clerk they had guns and were going to kill each other.

In addition to arresting Sloan-Dean, police also had two other people transported from the motel to Lynn Union Hospital. The log does not make clear if any weapons were present or if other charges will be filed.
