Peabody Police Issue Arrest Warrant After Fight
Cody M. Murphy left the scene after refusing treatment following a fight Sunday evening.

PEABODY, MA -- A judge issued a temporary arrest warrant for an Amesbury man after Peabody Police responded to a report of a fight Sunday evening. The summons charges Cody M. Murphy, 31, of 62 Thompson Street Apt. 2 in Amesbury, with assault and battery t collect a debt and assault and battery on a person over the age of 60 or disabled by injury.
According to the Peabody Police log, officers responded to a report of a fight at 2 Dolling Circle at 7:21 pm Sunday. The victims refused treatment, but after contacting police in Saugus and Amesbury, Peabody Police determined there was probably cause to make an arrest.
Saugus Police checked on an address and learned that Murphy had moved in with his girlfriend in Salisbury. Salisbury Police issued a "be on the lookout" order for Murphy and the truck he was believed to be driving.

In 2011, Murphy was arrested in Danvers for beating a 31-year-old man and charged with unarmed robbery, aggravated assault and battery, felony larceny, witness intimidation and threats. Earlier this month Salisbury Police arrested Murphy and charged him with OUI (second offense).
