Peabody Police Release Photo Of Suspect In January Robbery

Police are warning that the man who robbed a Peabody convenience store is considered armed and dangerous.

PEABODY, MA -- Police on Tuesday released surveillance photos of a suspect in the January 11 robbery of Michelle's Market on Main Street in Peabody. Police are asking anyone with information on the robbery to contact the Peabody Police Detective Unit at (978) 538-6364 or Peabody Police Patrol Division at (978) 531-1212. Police said people should not approach the suspect and that he should be considered armed and dangerous.

Two men wearing masks and brandishing handguns robbed Michelle's Market at 6:30 pm on January 11. The suspects in the Michelle's Market robbery left the store on foot. One of the men was wearing a black North Face jacket, a black mask and jeans. The other man was wearing jeans, a blue sweater or jacket and a blue mask. Peabody police reportedly were agble to track a suspect into Salem using a K9 team, but by 8:30 pm they ruled that lead a dead end.

The robbery of Michelle's Market was one of two that occurred in as many days in Peabody. A day before the Michelle's Market robbery, a white or Hispanic man wearing a mask and a blue sweatshirt robbed a 7-Eleven at 115 Main Street and stole about $200. Police have not said whether the two robberies are related.
