Peabody Seeks Climate Resiliency Committee Community Liaisons
The part-time liaisons will serve as representatives on the Peabody Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness 2.0 team for 18 months.
PEABODY, MA — Peabody is seeking community liaisons to act as representatives on the city's Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness team over the next months to help identify parts of the city that are vulnerable to climate change and potential investments in resilience efforts.
The city is looking for up to four liaisons as part of the MVP 2.0 program run by the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs. The MVP 2.0 program supports Peabody's efforts to use new methods, tools and resources for building climate resilience with a focus on equity.
The Core team will also engage residents and businesses on their needs and how to support them amid climate events such as extreme temperatures, stronger storms and other climate change factors.
