Peabody Shines Spotlight On LGBTQ+ Lives With SpeakOUT Event
The SpeakOUT night of stories and discussion will kick off Pride Month at the Peabody Library on June. 3.

PEABODY, MA — The Peabody Public Library will kick off its Pride Month of events with a SpeakOUT Boston event on June 3.
The night of stories and discussions will begin at 7 p.m. with speakers sharing their stories in a safe and supportive atmosphere. Topics include the significance of Pride, the representation of LGBTQ+ people in the media, the current political climate and more.
The event is free and open to the public with pre-registration recommended.

SpeakOUT Boston is a community of speakers and volunteers who work to create a world free of bias and prejudice by telling the tales of LGBTQ+ lives. The group conducts educational programs, and training on public speaking, and conducts discussions based on the premise of "Ask us anything" aimed at inviting any questions that may challenge harmful stereotypes and misconceptions.
