Peabody Shooting: 2 Juveniles Charged With Assault To Murder

PEABODY, MA — Two juveniles are facing a combined 22 counts of assault to murder and assault to murder with a firearm charges in connection with a shooting on Littles Lane in Peabody last week, according to Peabody police.

Police said the two juveniles — who were not identified because of their ages — were charged on warrants issued out of Salem Juvenile Court for the May 21 shooting.

Peabody Police Chief Thomas Griffin commended the Peabody Patrol Division and Criminal Investigation Division for their work on the case as well as the department's collaboration with the Essex County District Attorney's Office.

"The collaboration and dedication of our law enforcement partners were instrumental in swiftly bringing these suspects into custody," Griffin said in a news release. "This case exemplifies our commitment to ensuring the safety and security of our community, and we will diligently continue to investigate this incident to the fullest extent possible."

Police said the juveniles were also charged with one count of destruction of property and two counts of malicious damage to a motor vehicle.
