Peabody West had the bases loaded with no outs when Gabriel Casiano hit an RBI single and Jimmy DiCarlo followed with a bases-clearing double for a 4-2 lead. DiCarlo then stole third and scored on a passed ball for a 5-2 lead heading to the bottom of the second.

Pittsfield got one run back in the second, but Thad Broughton's double and Aidan Horgan's RBI single restored the three-run lead.

DiCarlo's diving catch at shortstop preserved the lead in the fourth after Pittsfield cut the gap to 6-5.

DiCarlo made another nice play to help close it out in the seventh behind the pitching of Cullen Pasterick.
