Peabody Yard Waste Curbside Pickup Begins Next Week

PEABODY, MA — Residents cleaning up from all the winter rain, winter — and that little bit of snow — can get rid of their yard waste with free curbside pickup beginning next week.

The week of April 15 is the first of four designated yard waste pickup weeks this spring.

The Patriots Day holiday will delay pickup for trash, recycling and yard waste by one day with waste then being picked up with the trash pickup on a one-day delay.

Mayor Bettencourt has scheduled several additional dates for free curbside leaf and yard waste collection, including the weeks of April 29th, May 13th, and May 27th.

Leaves and yard waste can be left in paper bags or barrels. There is no charge for curbside leaf collection in Peabody.

Residents can also take yard waste to the Department of Public Services, 50 Farm Avenue, any weekday during regular business hours.

The Department of Public Services is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
