Peabody's International Festival Returns For 2022

The city's signature event will be back for the first time in three years on Sept. 11.

PEABODY, MA — A Peabody tradition will return to downtown for the first time in three years when the city welcomes back the International Festival on Sept. 11.

"The past two years have been extremely challenging for all of us," Peabody Mayor Ted Bettencourt said. "To keep our community safe, we've had to go without so many of the community events that help make Peabody the special place it is."

Bettencourt called the International Festival the city's "signature" event that has brought residents and visitors downtown over the past 35 years.

"No event has been as sorely missed than the International Festival," Bettencourt said. "The Festival brings tens of thousands of people to downtown to celebrate our ethnic heritage and cultural diversity through food, art and entertainment."
