Peabody's Patriots Day Celebrated Veterans

While holiday centered around seven South Danvers men who fell at the Battle of Lexington, veterans of many wars were honored on Monday.

Peabody's Patriots Day celebration honored veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice at the Battle of Lexington on April 19, 1775 in what was the first engagement of the Revolutionary War.

But throughout the day, city officials, members of the Peabody Historical Society and local veterans groups paid tribute to many other veterans who fought in several wars to protect the freedom of Americans everywhere.

Photographer Christine Cloutier captured many moments from Monday's Patriots Day ceremony in this week's viewfinder.
