Police Dive Teams Search For Missing Peabody Man Near Salem Beach
Salem police said items belonging to Michael Gray, 31, were found at Juniper Beach.

SALEM, MA — Salem, Peabody and State police spent Wednesday conducting a beach and water search for a Maine man reported missing from Peabody last month.
Michael Gray, 31, was reported missing in Peabody on Dec. 11 after a Peabody police officer gave him a ride to a Main Street business where police said he told the officer that a family member worked the night of Dec. 10.
Peabody police had asked the public for information on Gray's whereabouts.

Salem police said that its dive team and a State Police dive team conducted a water search on Wednesday off Juniper Beach after some items of clothing believed to belong to Gray were found at the beach. Police said at the time the clothing was first found, officers were unaware of the potential connection to the missing man, and then they returned after gaining additional information.
Gray is described as between 6-foot-1 and 6-foot-2 with shoulder-length hair, which is usually kept in a bun, facial hair and tattoos.
