Police: Drunk Driving Arrest, Second Offense; Two 16-Year-Olds Arrested For Shoplifting; Tire Slashed

Sunday, May 31

At 1:10 a.m., motor vehicle stop on Lowell Street. Lynne A Scarimontios, 41, of Peabody, arrested for operating a vehicle with no headlights and operating under the influence of liquor, second offense. Vehicle towed.

At 8:35 a.m., tree down in the vicinity of Hathaway Avenue and West Diane Road. Caller reported a tree down across the road. DPW notified. One lane of traffic was able to get through when the tree was moved. Tree Department repsonded, and removed tree. Road opened/

At 5:05 p.m., shoplifting at JCPenney. Loss prevention reports two uncooperative juvenile shoplifters detained. Two 16-year-old female juveniles arrested for shoplifting and receiving stolen property over $250.

At 7:52 p.m., assist citizen on Washington Street. Caller reported his iPad was stolen, and he has tracked it to a residence on Washington Street. Officers reported the iPad was returned without incident.

At 9:14 p.m., neighborhood dispute on Lynn Street. Third-party caller reported her friend called to say someone broke in and stole some items from her residence. Officer reported the issue was a landlord-tenant dispute.

Monday, June 1

At 8:07 a.m., vandalism to a vehicle on Lowe Street. Tire slashed.

At 10:38 a.m., illegal dumping on Pulaski Street. Caller reported illegal dumping at the bus lot.

At 1:53 a.m., motor vehicle accident on Andover Street. Two vehicles involved; no injuries reported.
