Police: Erratic 18-Wheeler; Drunk Driving Arrest; Burglary Reported

Saturday, July 4

At 6:12 a.m., assist citizen on Newbury Street. Caller reported an erratic 18-wheeler truck going northbound on Route 1 in the vicinity of the jughandle. Second report said the 18-wheeler made it to Interstate 95 north, Advised state police.

At 11:15 a.m., motor vehicle stop on Nelson Road. Ryan C. Ouellette, 25, of Danvers, arrested on three warrants.

At 2:05 p.m., past burglary in area of Pleasant Street. Caller reported a break and enter to his house. Joseph A. Visocchi, 33, of Peabody summonsed to court for break and enter, daytime.

At 3:07 p.m., arrest in the vicinity of Lowell Street and Ridgefield Avenue. Caller reported that pickup truck was driving erratically Officers stopped vehicle on Aborn Street. Gregory A. Welch, 23, of Boscawen, N.H., arrested for operating under the influence of liquor, possession of an open container of alcohol, and failure to keep right for oncoming motor vehicle.

At 8:37 p.m., neighborhood dispute on Scott Drive. Caller reported that neighbors are running through her yard with sprinklers.

At 9:36 p.m., assault and battery arrest on Smidt Avenue. James F. Hefler, 37, of Nahant, summonsed to court for assault and battery.

Sunday, July 5

At 1:07 a.m, fight in progress on Hancock Street. Anonymous caller reported two males fighting in the middle of the street.

At 11:44 a.m., animal control on Carlton Street. Animal control officer issued a six-month quarantine for calling party’s cat, who was not vaccinated against rabies.
