Police Log: Suspect Steals $400 Worth of Legos

Monday, Aug. 25
At 4 p.m., police received a call from Caller Street after two youths broke another person’s bike’s spoke.
At 4:54 p.m., a Peabody resident reported that someone used her social security number to open a Comcast account. The person opened an account in 2009 and used an East Boston address. Police took a report.

At 5:07 p.m., police received a call from Toys R Us after a man stole three boxes of Legos worth a total of $400. Police took a report.
At 5:47 p.m., police received a call from Stop & Shop after someone stole a shoulder bag from an unlocked vehicle. An iPad was in the bag. Police took a report.

At 8:30 p.m., police responded to Lowell Street after a two-car accident. Two people were taken to hospitals and both cars were towed.
At 11:41 p.m, a Wheeler Street resident reported a bird in a back hall. Police found it was actually a cricket and police “dispatched (it) in the accepted manner.”
At 11:58 p.m., a Wildwood Drive resident reported a group of youths egged his house.
Tuesday, Aug. 26
At 6:16 a.m., police responded to Peabody Square about a two-car accident. One person was taken to Salem Hospital. Both vehicles were towed.
At 7:0 1 a.m., a Glen Drive resident reported three males in red shirts were banging on the door, yelling and taking items from the front yard and driveway. Police spoke to the men, who were contractors performing work at the residence.
At 9:38 a.m., a Greenwood Road resident reported that a 9-year-old gray/brown tiger cat was missing since Aug. 23. The cat’s name is Zoe and was not wearing a collar.
