Salisbury Man, Gloucester Woman Arrested on Several Default Warrants

A brief summary of arrests, motor vehicle accidents and crimes investigated by city police.

The following is an excerpt from the Peabody Police log from Thursday, March 17 through Sunday, March 20.

Thursday:

  • At 3:07 p.m., police summonsed a Lawrence woman following a traffic stop for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and a lights violation.
  • At 3:44 p.m., a Lynn man was summonsed following a motor vehicle stop at 20 Lynn St. The charges were having no inspection sticker, no insurance and operating with a revoked registration.
  • At 5:16 p.m., police reported a larceny at the Pilgrim Nursing Home at 96 Forest St. A family member of a patient said someone had stolen her mother's diamond ring.
  • At 5:54 p.m., police arrested a Peabody man following a motor vehicle stop at the 7-Eleven store at 24 Lake St. Lawrence C. Collins, 40, of 10 Donegal Road, in Peabody, was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
  • At 6:30 p.m., police summonsed two Peabody women for assault and battery at a Pleasant Street residence.
  • At 9:27 p.m., police reported breaking and entering into a motor vehicle parked near the JC Penny store at the Northshore Mall. Police said someone stole a woman's pocketbook which contained an iPod.
  • At 11:07 p.m., police arrested a Cambridge woman following a motor vehicle stop at 98 Main St. Melissa E. Pierre-Louis, 21, of 1 Brookline Place, Apt. 405, in Cambridge, was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
  • At 11:59 p.m., police reported vandalism on 34 Lowell St. where a Tri-City taxi cab driver reported that someone threw a bottle through one of the cab's windows.

  • At 3:59 a.m., police reported vandalism at a Mulberry Drive residence where the caller said someone had slashed the tires on his motor vehicle.
  • At 12:24 p.m., police reported a larceny at a Hancock Street residence where the caller said someone had stolen her jewelry box.
  • At 5:26 p.m., police summonsed a Peabody woman following a motor vehicle stop at 42 Russell St. and 33 Roosevelt Ave. The charge was for operation a motor vehicle with a revoked registration.
  • Just a minute later, police reported vandalism at the Stop and Shop supermarket on Howley Street where the caller said someone damaged his motor vehicle in the parking lot.
  • At 6:28 p.m., police summonsed a person under 21 from Salem at the Northshore Mall for being a minor in possession of liquor.
  • At 7:57 p.m., police charged a Peabody man with assault and battery, domestic after responding to an incident at a Paleologos Street home. Kevin Galibois, 49, of 29 Paleologos St., in Peabody, was charged with that offense.
  • At 11 p.m., police arrested a Peabody man for domestic assault and battery after responding to an incident at Mobile Estates on Newbury St. Stephen J. Larosa, 48, of 286 Newbury St., Apt. 48, was charged with that offense.

Saturday:

  • At 2:32 a.m., police charged a Peabody man who was involved in a fight at Tanner Court. Adam Copley, 17, of 10 Tanners Court, Apt. B, was charged with destruction of property over $250 and disturbing the peace.
  • At 8:22 a.m., police arrested a Salisbury man and a Gloucester woman following a well-being check conducted at 245 Lynnfield St. and 2 First Ave. Matthew M. Carignan, Jr., 23, of 5 Linda Lane, in Salisbury, was charged on another police department warrant for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Kaylee M. Jaksland, 21, of 43A Maplewood Ave., in Gloucester, was charged on three default warrants out of Gloucester District Court. Those charges are for felony breaking and entering in the daytime, malicious destruction of property over $250, and larceny at under $250.
  • At 11:18 a.m., police reported vandalism at a Northend Street residence. The resident told police that someone had lit a fire on his porch overnight. Police checked the porch and determined there was no fire, but had black spray paint tested.
  • At 3:22 p.m., police reported  breaking and entering into a motor vehicle parked at the Northshore Mall near the JC Penny store. The vehicle owner said a backpack and some school textbooks valued at $180 were stolen along with a sweatshirt.
  • At 4:30 p.m., police summonsed a Lynn man for shoplifting at Shaw's Supermarket at 210S Andover St. The charge is for shoplifting more than $100 by concealing merchandise.
  • At 4:35 p.m., police reported vandalism at a Granite Street residence. The caller said someone had slashed two tires on his motor vehicle sometime between Tuesday and Friday.
  • At 5:22 p.m., police reported larceny at the AT&T store on 210C Andover St. when the store manager told police several cell phones had been stolen.
  • At 10:44 p.m., police summonsed a Peabody man for the larceny of a motor vehicle from a Magnolia Way residence. The vehicle was located in Wakefield.
  • At 11:28 p.m., police summonsed a Rockport teenager and two Gloucester men for being minors under 21 in possession of alcohol following a motor vehicle stop on 84 Andover St. 
  • At 11:31 p.m., police reported a larceny when a man told police he left his T-Mobile G2 cell phone in the bathroom at the 7-Eleven store at 23 Newbury St. When the man returned an hour later to retrieve the phone, he told police it was gone. The cell phone is valued at $600.

  • At 10:24 a.m., police reported a past breaking and entering at a Harris Street residence. The resident told police a GPS had been stolen from his vehicle and a bicycle had been taken from a shed.
