See Original Local Artwork at the South Branch

The South Branch of the Peabody Institute Library has partnered with Peabody artist Paula Kulas for an art show. Thirteen examples of her art are now on display in the library, located at 78 Lynn St. and will be available for viewing and purchase throughout the summer.

The South Branch is thrilled to feature a local artist. The collection includes many paintings in watercolor or acrylic that depict the local North Shore landscape and wildlife. This show is an example of the Library’s commitment to supporting and partnering with the community.

Paula Jean Kulas is an award-winning Peabody artist who works with watercolors pastels, oils, acrylics, and mixed media. Her passion for nature is her muse. She spends time in the wilderness acquiring inspiration that she takes back to the studio where she experiments with developing new techniques to feature “strong color, sharp contrasts, organic shapes and simple designs.”
