Support Sought For Peabody West Little League All-Stars
A GoFundMe page has been started to help raise money for the newest state champions' trip to Connecticut for the New England Regionals.
PEABODY, MA — The Peabody West Little League All-Stars could use a little help from the North Shore on their way to represent Massachusetts in Bristol, Connecticut.
The 12-year-old All-Star team, which earned a spot in the New England Championships with a 6-5 victory against Pittsfield in the state final on Sunday, are headed to Connecticut Saturday night. The New England games will be broadcast on ESPN or ESPN+ (subscription app).
"Our Peabody West Little League 12-Year-Olds have won states!!" the GoFundMe declares. "Please support them and their families as they take the next step on their road to Williamsport.

"All money donated will go directly to the players and their families to fund travel expenses including the bus, food, and lodging."
In less than 24 hours as of Tuesday morning, the page had raised $2,850 of the $10,000 goal.

The winner of the New England tournament earns a spot in the Little League World Series held in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Peabody West last reached the New England Championships in 2009.
Peabody West reached Sunday's state final with an 8-0 victory against Needham on Saturday.
The All-Stars then dug out of an early, 2-0 deficit in Sunday's game with five runs in the second inning and then held off a Pittsfield comeback attempt for the state banner.
