Two Peabody Residents Elected to Northeast Arc Board

Tom Gould & Martha Holden Guide Growth of Nation's Second Largest Arc

The Northeast Arc, a not-for-profit organization that helps children and adults with disabilities become full participants in the community, has elected Tom Gould and Martha Holden, both of Peabody, to its Board of Directors.

Gould is Peabody City Councilor and owner of Treadwell’s Ice Cream. He has been a longtime volunteer for the Northeast Arc and has run a challenger sports league for people with disabilities for over 30 years. Gould also serves as chairman of Friends of the Black Box, raising the critical funds to open and run the new theater at the ArcWorks Arts Center in Peabody.

“Volunteering for the Northeast Arc has been some of the most rewarding times of my life,” said Tom Gould. “I look forward to continuing to serve the Arc as a member of its board of directors to continue to change the lives of people with disabilities and their families.”
