Volunteers Needed for Centennial Parade
The parade is part of the city's 2016 Centennial celebration.

Peabody, MA - Peabody is celebrating its 100th anniversary as a city this year.
Among the many events planned this year is the Centennial Parade on Oct. 2.
Although the parade is still eight months away, organizers are still looking for volunteers.

Plans for the parade include bands from across the country who will feature music, costume, dance and the arts. Organizers are are also inviting civic groups to march with Peabody Pride as they travel along the mile-plus parade route commencing at the corner of Foster Street and Washington Street and ending at the North Shore Mall., the city is already looking for volunteers to help out with the event.
