Volunteers Sought for Annual Peabody Spring Cleanup
The city is offering free cleaning supplies and pickup for those who want to help Peabody tidy up for the outdoor season.
PEABODY, MA — Peabody residents are encouraged to help the city tidy up for the outdoor season by volunteering for this year's annual Peabody Pride Spring Cleanup.
Those taking part in the May 2 event will receive free cleaning supplies and pickup of filled trash bags. Those who can help on that day should meet up at City Hall at 10 a.m. and then fan out across the city as individuals or in small groups.
"This year's Spring Cleanup continues our community tradition of bringing residents together to care for the neighborhoods we all share,: Peabody Mayor Ted Bettencourt said. "It's a simple but meaningful way to show pride in our city and help keep Peabody looking its best."
