Walsh, Peach top State Rep. Primary
The final showdown for the 12th Essex seat is on Tuesday, March 1.

Peabody, MA - Thomas Walsh and Stephanie Peach came out on top on Tuesday’s special state representative primary election.
The final election is on Tuesday, March 1, the date of the Massachusetts presidential primary. Walsh and Peach will be joined on the ballot by unenrolled candidate Christopher Gallagher.
The election is to fill the seat that had been held by Leah Cole, who resigned late last year to devote more time to her nursing career.

The 12th Essex District is comprised of Wards 1-4, and Ward 5, precincts 1 and 3 only.
Walsh won the Democratic primary with 1,672 votes to 537 for James Moutsoulas and 459 for Craig Welton.

On the Republican side, Peach garnered 568 votes to Corriveau’s 458.
