Spay Waggin' Comes to Plymouth

The Spay Waggin’ is a subsidized spay/neuter program created by the Animal Rescue League of Boston to assist clients in financial need. Staffed by an Animal Rescue League of Boston veterinarian and two trained veterinary technicians, the Spay Waggin’ features a preparation area, a fully equipped surgical suite and a recovery ward. The Spay Waggin’ makes monthly scheduled stops throughout the South Shore and the Cape to perform surgeries on an appointment-only basis.

All pets should be between the ages of two months and five years of age, and dogs should  be under 50lbs. Spay Waggin’ appointments are pre-paid only, and the fee is non-refundable unless the appointment is cancelled 48 hours prior to the scheduled date.

  • Cats: $75
  • Dogs: $150
  • Test for canine heartworm disease: $20

The price includes: physical exam, spay (females) or neuter (males), rabies vaccine, distemper vaccine and flea/ear mite treatment if necessary. Heartworm test for dogs is available for an additional $20.
