How to Call 9-1-1 Without Saying a Word

The Silent Call Procedure is for people who need to notify emergency services without verbally communicating.

The Massachusetts Enhanced 9-1-1 System has a unique way for people in trouble to notify emergency services without saying a word.

It’s called the Silent Call procedure and it’s for people in need of emergency services who cannot physically speak or who may endanger themselves from speaking, according to Mass.gov.

Domestic violence victims, home invasion victims and physically disabled persons can effectively notify 9-1-1 in silence using this procedure.
