Lindsay Clancy Built Snowman With Kids Just Before Strangling Them, Ex Testifies: Reports

PLYMOUTH, MA — Duxbury mother Lindsay Clancy built a snowman with her three children just hours before she strangled them to death, her ex-husband testified on the first day of her trial, according to reports.

Clancy, 35, is charged with the January 2023 murders of 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson, and 8-month-old Callan Clancy.

"On the day of the killings, Lindsay Clancy took Cora to a doctor’s appointment while he stayed home with Dawson and Callan," NBC reported. "The couple exchanged photos of the children by text — Dawson had just dressed himself for the first time and Cora was behind a mask in the doctor's office. Later, Lindsay Clancy built a snowman with her children and worked on art projects."

"When Lindsay returned home, she and the kids made a snowman while (now ex-husband) Patrick worked from home in the basement," according to People.

Patrick Clancy also told of his wife falling into a "big spiral" after she began taking Seroquel, Fox News reported.

"Patrick told jurors that he became alarmed after Lindsay was prescribed 13 psychiatric medications in the months prior to the murders and that he pushed for an in-person appointment because he believed there was a 'disconnect' between the seriousness of her condition and the brief telehealth sessions she was receiving," the Fox News story said.

"Mr. Clancy’s testimony will continue on Wednesday; he is also expected to testify for the defense," according to the New York Times.
