Mass. Audubon's Annual Bird-A-Thon
Every May, the warblers return, and every May members of the Massachusetts Audubon Society chase them.

Every May, the warblers return, and every May members of the Massachusetts Audubon Society chase them. For 28 years, Mass Audubon has asked for your help, both in the field and as donors. This year, they're honored to ask again.
On May 11-12, members spend 24 hours chasing down the highest number of bird species that we can find in the 29th annual Bird-a-thon.

"We'll be in friendly competition with other Mass Audubon teams, but in the end, it'll all be toward one goal - raising money for the conservation of wild places in Massachusetts, places where the birds can live and thrive," according to the Society's website.
Sue MacCallum, David Ludlow and John Galluzzo will be leading separate teams during the day, splitting their expertise and birding skills to try to tally the greatest number of species possible. Support Sue, David or John through FirstGiving.com.

If you'd like to join members in the field for the day, they ask for a pledge or raise $75 to become a team member. There are full and half day options. We plan to find more than 150 bird species during the event, from shorebirds to migrating warblers to raptors and more.
