PACTV to Air News Show

PACTV Community News will begin Sept. 6 and will run Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Mondays.

PACTV is excited to announce the premier of PACTV Community News. This news program will provide viewers with a closer look on topics from their communities; the stories traditional news can miss. The news program will debut Thursday, Sept. 6 at 8 p.m. on the PACTV Public Access Channel (Comcast 13/Verizon 43).

Segments will include local stories from Duxbury, Kingston, Pembroke and Plymouth. The half hour newscast will be anchored by Kim Miot, PACTV Community News Director, and Lary King, radio announcer and host on the World Classical Network and on WGBH/WCRB's Classical New England Network.
"We are very excited to present PACTV Community News," PACTV’s Executive Director and CEO Nancy Richard said. "The show has been in development for a while and to see it actually in production is thrilling. We hope our communities will enjoy watching it as much as we enjoy producing it."

Stories are taped by Kim Miot and various field reporters trained by PACTV.

"I am excited to be the director of this new venture of PACTV," Miot said. "Bringing out our own stories showcases who we are as a community and captures it for future generations. These are topics and angles you would never see on broadcast news."

PACTV Community News will be shown Thursdays at 8 p.m., Fridays at 1 p.m., Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. and Mondays at 3 p.m. starting Sept. 6.
