PCIS Students Make Snowflakes for Sandy Hook

While residents and school officials of Newtown, Connecticut debate whether to demolish the elementary school where a gunman killed 26 people, students at Plymouth Community Intermediate School are helping to make the school they're attending a nicer place.

Sandy Hook students are attending classes at Chalk Hill School in nearby Monroe and PTA volunteers there are working to ensure that the students are welcomed back by a winter wonderland with the entire school decorated with as many unique snowflakes as possible.

PCIS 7th and 8th grade students in Susanne DeCoste's Health Education classes have contributed more than 100 snowflakes to the effort.
