Pembroke Athlete Headed To Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics
The 2022 Beijing winter games begin this week. Several local athletes from Massachusetts will be competing.

PEMBROKE, MA — A 27-year-old bobsledder from Pembroke will be among the nine athletes competing in the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. The opening ceremony will be held Friday, although competitions will begin as soon as Wednesday.
Pembroke native Kris Horn, 27, will be part of the USA Men's Bobsledding Team. Horn is a Umass graduate who majored in mechanical engineering and started his first year bobsledding in 2017.
Within a few months, Horn was competing on the world cup tour and earned a bronze medal at the 2019 world championships in the team event. Horn also has won two world cup bronze medals as a push athlete for Hunter Church.
