Plymouth Man Faces OUI in Hingham
A Plymouth man faces charges of driving under the influence stemming from an incident in Hingham last year.

Drew P. Canavan, 20, of 28 Village West Terrace had charges of driving under the influence of liquor, possession of alcohol by a person under 21, and a marked lanes violation continued to Aug. 16 for a jury trial in Hingham District Court. The charges stem from a Aug. 11, 2011 incident in Hingham at 12:40 a.m. when police observed a black Toyota sedan cross the solid yellow double line at Main and High streets. Police stopped the car and administered field sobriety tests, then arrested Canavan on suspicion of being drunk. Police searched the car and allegedly found a Budweiser Light Select 12-pack, with four beers unconsumed, a half full bottle of Burnett's Fruit Punch vodka, and a crushed can of Budweiser Light.
