Plymouth Police Honored For Rescuing Kidnapped Students
Plymouth schools thanked police for locating two students kidnapped from a bus stop in November.

PLYMOUTH, MA — Plymouth schools on Wednesday honored police for rescuing two kidnapped students in November. Schools Superintendent Gary Maestas presented Police Chief Michael Botieri with a plaque "recognizing the entire police department for their efforts in quickly locating (the students)."
The kidnapping happened November 8 and involved two 9-year-old twin girls, police said. The girls' mother and boyfriend kidnapped the girls after they were dropped off at their Pilgrim Hill Road bus stop in the afternoon, according to police. Officers located the girls about five hours later at the mother's home in Lewiston, Maine. The mother and boyfriend were arrested.
