Rockland Trust Pledges $100,000 to the Old Colony YMCA to support the River Run Project

Rockland Trust today announced it has pledged $100,000 to the Old Colony YMCA, one of the largest human service providers in Southeastern Massachusetts, which serves over 114,430 children and families each year. The donation will support the Old Colony YMCA’s expansion project in Plymouth, which is part of the A.D. Makepeace Development Community known as River Run.Β 

The A.D. Makepeace Development Community, River Run, is a pedestrian-friendly village containing approximately 1,175 homes, a community center, a village green, and access to the full-service branch of the Old Colony YMCA, located in theΒ  center of the village. The community will also contain a small retail component, assisted-living for the elderly and land allocated for use by the town for a school or other municipal purpose at no cost to taxpayers.
