Suspect Stole Disabled U.S. Marine's Hearing Aids: Police

Kevin Lima stole the personal belongings of a disabled U.S. Marine and his family vacationing in Cape Cod, police said.

Plymouth, MA — A suspect accused of stealing hearing aids from a disabled U.S. Marine was arrested in Plymouth Thursday.

Kevin Lima, 36, of Acushnet, stole the Marine and his family's personal belongings while they were visiting a Cape Cod Inflatable Park in Yarmouth, police said. Local residents and businesses stepped up and donated to a fund for the Marine's family.

The incident happened last week; police said Lima learned he had a warrant out and evaded arrest by hiding in the New Bedford area.
