$1 Million Powerball Tickets Sold at North Quincy Store

WEYMOUTH, MA — A Massachusetts resident has won a $1 million prize from playing Powerball.

Effie Ann Lee of Weymouth was at Lottery headquarters on March 1 to claim her prize from the Feb. 22 drawing. Lee matched the first five winning numbers on her quick pick ticket to win her prize.

Lee told Lottery officials that she'll be splitting the prize with a friend.

The winning ticket was purchased at Tobacco Treasures III in North Quincy. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale.

Last week, the Lottery announced that two $1 million tickets were sold in Quincy and Needham.
