55 Grams of Fentanyl Seized By Quincy Police: 2 Men Charged

QUINCY, MA — Two men were arrested Tuesday after police said they seized 15 bags containing 55 grams of fentanyl and heroin from their car. Depending on the amount of fentanyl in the bags, that's potentially 27,500 times the lethal dose, which is two milligrams.

Around 6:20 p.m., police said they saw what looked like a drug deal outside a home on Water Street. Police pulled over the car outside the house and spoke with Jonathan Greene, 22, of Stoughton, and Jesse Cirelli, 29, of Taunton.

Charlie, the police dog started sniffing the car and according to police, smelled drugs near the front passenger seat. Police searched the car and said they found about 55 grams of fentanyl/heroin.

Cirelli and Green were charged with trafficking class A (fentanyl) over 10 grams, trafficking class A (heroin) over 36 grams , conspiracy to violate the controlled substances act, possession of Class B with the intent to distribute. Cirelli also faces motor vehicle charges, while this is Green's second intent to distribute charge.

Both are scheduled for arraignment in Quincy District Court Wednesday.
