QUINCY, MA — A 3-year-old Quincy boy, who is isolated at home while he battles brain cancer, received a private concert from the Dropkick Murphys. The band visited the home of Quinn Waters and brightened his day with acoustic renditions its smash hit "I'm shipping up to Boston," as well as a few other songs.

Waters, who was wearing his green Dropkick Murphys shirt, was seen on video smiling and dancing along to the music. Singer Ken Casey had the boy screaming with laughter when he pretended to bite his arm with a shark puppet. Waters had some fun with the band as well, giving them some jokes back.

"Guess what? Chicken butt," Waters told Casey and the rest of the Dropkick Murphys.

Water's mother Tara, a Quincy police officer, thanked the Dropkick Murphys and every one else who's offered her son and family support.

"People have been amazing," Tara Waters said. "It’s so great for Quinn who doesn’t know any different and thinks he's having the best summer ever."

Last Februrary, Waters was diagnosed with a brain tumor, known as medulloblastoma, shortly after his third birthday, according to "The Mighty Quinn," a Facebook page made to give updates on Water's progress. Since the diagnosis, 95 percent of the tumor has been removed, but chemotherapy has left him home bound.

Water's family has asked people to donate blood and platelets to Children's Hospital in Boston in her son's honor.
