Elderly Woman Critical After Head-on Quincy Crash

QUINCY, MA — An elderly woman was critically injured in a head-on collision on Washington Street Wednesday night. The crash happened at about 9 p.m. near Pray Street. Police said a 47-year-old Weymouth woman veered into oncoming traffic and collided with the elderly woman's Cadillac.

The Cadillac driver, a 79-year-old Weymouth woman, was rushed to Boston Medical Center and admitted to the intensive care unit. The 47-year-old woman, and her passenger, a 12-year-old girl, were taken to South Shore Hospital with minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
