Parker Street Fire Displaces Family

QUINCY, MA — A fire at a Parker Street home has temporarily caused the house to be uninhabitable.

Quincy Fire Capt. Daniel Gorman told the Patriot Ledger that the fire was reported around noon Sunday and was put out by 1 p.m. He said the fire started in a heater in the basement but the cause is under investigation. Firefighters had to rip open walls to get to the blaze, he said.
