'Piggybacking' At MBTA Station Leads to Warrant Arrest For Quincy Man
Stephen McDermott, 28, was arrested on warrants from Boston Municipal Court and Quincy District Court.

BOSTON, MA — A Quincy man who tried to piggyback his way into the Andrew Square Station was arrested on several warrants, police said.
Stephen McDermott, 28, was arrested on warrants from Boston Municipal Court for unlicensed operation and from Quincy District Court for breaking and entering a building in the nighttime for a felony, larceny from a building and larceny under $250.
On May 30 at about 10:10 p.m., transit police allegedly observed McDermott evade a fare by "piggybacking" in behind a paying customer. Officers approached McDermott for the purpose of issuing a citation and subsequently learned that he had the active warrants.

McDermott was placed into custody and transported to transit police headquarters for the arrest booking process.
