Police Identify 2 Weymouth Men Killed In Quincy Crash

The two Weymouth men were killed after crashing into an abutment under the Neponset River Bridge in Quincy.

QUINCY, MA — State Police have identified the two men who were killed after crashing into the Neponset River Bridge last Thursday. The single-vehicle crash happened around 10:40 a.m. on the Hancock Street ramp to the bridge, killing Paul Onorato, 74, and John Gill, 50, both of Weymouth.

According to police, Onorato was driving his 2004 Ford Taurus with Gill as his passenger. Onorato missed his turn, causing him to veer off the side of the road, jump the curb and crash into an abutment under the bridge.

Both the driver and his passenger, a 50-year-old Weymouth man, were pronounced dead at the scene.
