Quincy Residents Say They Were Robbed Right After Parking Their Cars
Police are investigating two similar armed robberies that saw the victims held at gunpoint shortly after leaving their parked cars.

QUINCY, MA — Police are investigating a pair of two armed robberies in the North Quincy section of the city that saw the victims robbed at gunpoint shortly getting of their vehicles.
On Jan, 2 at about 9 p.m., police responded to Atlantic Street for an armed robbery. The victims told police that after they exited their vehicle, a man holding a gun demanded money. One victim, an 18-year-old woman, was struck by the suspect who then grabbed her pocketbook, according to the Quincy Police Department. The second victim, a 24-year-old Asian man handed the suspect his wallet. The suspect was described as a black male, about 28-30 years old, 5'9"-5'10" with a thin build, wearing a black hooded sweat top and a mask covering his mouth.
A similar robbery took place just past midnight Friday on Newport Avenue when a 55-year-old man reported that was approached by a man shortly after getting out of his car. The suspect asked the victim for money. The victim, who thought the suspect may need help, then handed the suspect some cash from his wallet, but the suspect pulled out a handgun and demanded the remainder of the victim's cash. The suspect was described as a black male, 26 years old, 5'6", about 150 lbs, with slight scruff on his face, police said.
