From the Quincy Police Department:

Thursday night at about 3:30 a.m., an alert resident contacted the Quincy Police Department regarding suspicious males removing tires from a vehicle. Officers responded to the scene and observed that the suspects, who had fled prior to our arrival, had removed 4 tires from a vehicle. At that time, a search of the area located another vehicle with its tires missing. Throughout this morning, we took five additional reports of stolen or attempted larceny of tires and rims. The targeted vehicles were predominantly Honda and Toyota vehicles.

The thefts occurred at 500 Washington St, Faxon Commons (Souhern Artery), Sixth Ave, and the Marriott Hotel. Suspects typically target vehicles parked in residential parking lots, but have also hit commercial parking lots as well (Adams Inn hotel earlier this month). The suspect vehicle involved in last night's larcenies is believed to be a Ford Transit.
