Traffic Stop Leads to Manhunt Around Milton-Quincy Line

QUINCY, MA — A traffic stop in Milton quickly turned into a search around the Quincy town line, police said.

Tuesday afternoon, a driver fled a traffic stop in East Milton Square and abandoned his vehicle. Milton Police Chief John King told the Patriot Ledger that an officer located a man in another vehicle who match the description of suspect. A chase from East Milton Square to Route 93 ensued, but it was called off due to safety concerns.

State, Milton, and Quincy police searched East Milton Square and the neighborhoods near the Quincy line for the suspect, but were unsuccessful.

Police are investigating whether the stop is related to an unarmed robbery that was reported in Quincy earlier in the day.
