Twice in 5 Days! Another Quincy Resident Wins $1 Million Scratch Ticket

There must be some extra luck in Quincy after another $1 million scratch ticket was purchased in the city.

QUINCY, MA — There must be some extra luck in Quincy after another $1 million scratch ticket was purchased in the city.

Mingzhuo Zhou of Quincy recently became the ninth $1 million prize winner in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$2,000,000 50X Cashword” instant game. After purchasing his ticket on Dec. 13, he became the second Quincy resident in five days to win a $1 million prize on a scratch tickets.

Zhou chose to receive his winnings through of 20 annual payments of $50,000, according to Lottery officials. His winning ticket was purchased at Stop & Shop on Newport Avenue. The supermarket will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale, the Lottery said.

On Dec. 8 Midoriko-Mariam Takeuchi of Quincy won $1 million on her first ever scratch ticket.

One $2 million prize and one $1 million prize remain in the “$2,000,000 50X Cashword” $10 instant game.
