Watch: Brookline Police Bring the Jokes for Quincy Girl With Leukemia

The department's video helped inspire "Bridget's Joke Challenge," and it seems the laughter is contagious.

BROOKLINE, MA — Brookline Police took a stab at comedy for a very good cause in a video shared this week.

It's for "Bridget's Joke Challenge," dedicated to seven-year-old Quincy resident Bridget Kelley, who's fighting leukemia at Boston's Children Hospital.

The video helped inspire what is now a challenge, which Brookline Police has passed along to the police departments in Boston and Franklin, plus the Brookline Fire Department. Five of the Brookline officers featured are cancer survivors themselves.

Some of the jokes are knee-slappers, some are groaners, but all of them (we hope!) will help put a smile on Bridget's face.
